The Accounting Department at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya has a special characteristic that cannot be found in any other similar accounting departments. It produces accountants who do not only have a role to play in composing and reviewing accounting report, but also have a great deal of understanding in the application of accounting-related Sustainability Reporting and Financial Modelling.

The learning process used in the Accounting Department at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya is done using the student-centered learning method that includes each element of the academic community at the Department to actively improve academic and practical knowledge in accounting as well as leadership. It also focuses on developing students' engagement in community service and accounting profession improvement initiatives in Indonesia.
